EXCLUSIVE: Cirkus actor Varun Sharma on working with Siddharth Jadhav; says, “He is mad with his infectious energy”

Varun Sharma revealed one of his personal favourite scenes from Cirkus during an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama. Without giving away spoilers, he said, “There is a sequence in the film that comes in the first half, which does not have much dialogue but has a lot of actions, reactions and is much similar to that in Golmaal 3 wherein there were not many dialogues but was majorly based just on actions which made it one of my personal favourite scenes of the film”. He also acknowledged how that particular scene of Golmaal 3 had received a lot of awards.

Talking about his experience further, Varun shared, “The set-up of that particular scene was inside a house. There was Ranveer Bhai along with Siddarth Jadhav, who is absolutely immensely talented (and) mad with his infectious energy and I don’t know how to explain the exact feeling”.

Sharing views on Siddarth Jhadav, Ranveer Singh, who was also a part of the interview, added, “It was that day (that) I knew I am working with the masters of comedy. The scene design, the treatment, the moments that came out of that set up; it was my first time approaching a pure slapstick comedy scene.”

Taking the conversation ahead, Varun added, “The scene was shot, we saw the rehearsals; even after that when we were heading back towards the van at the end of the day, we were asking Siddarth to do the same scene again. We were flipping on that act again and again and it was an absolute delight to watch him.”

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Cirkus will release in cinemas on December 23.
